Software Sales Representative

Mutual Expert develops software solutions for property and casualty (P&C) insurance carriers. Mutual Expert has an opening for a Sales Representative that will work closely with the company’s Marketing and Product Development teams. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for identifying leads that fit within the company’s client profile and pursuing new business opportunities. You will learn and understand the prospect’s business needs to communicate effectively the value of Mutual Expert’s product solutions. This role requires you to plan and execute sales presentations, teleconferences, site visits, and product demonstrations to both prospects and current clients. The ideal candidate should be able to build strong relationships; identify and overcome any obstacles within the sales funnel; and continually convey and differentiate Mutual Expert’s proven capabilities.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Research leads and identify key influencers and decision makers.
  • Build sales pipeline with qualified leads.
  • Be aware of trends within the industry and provide meaningful input into marketing campaigns and product development in response to those trends.
  • Learn and demonstrate a fundamental understanding of the company’s products.
  • Effectively communicate the capabilities and advantages of the company and its products.
  • Assist in reviewing and completing RFI and RFP documents.
  • Develop highly-engaging product demonstrations and proof-of-concepts.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Prior B2B sales experience.
  • Experience selling software and SaaS/Cloud services.
  • A working knowledge of the P&C insurance industry highly preferred.
  • Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills.
  • Must be willing to travel.
